Land Acknowledgements

Chill Mamas HQ Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho peoples. We honor the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded and cared for this land throughout generations and continue to do so. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present, and express gratitude for their ongoing presence and contributions.

Website Hosting Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that the land on which our website hosting account is based belongs to the Piscataway, Pamunkey, and other Algonquian-speaking peoples. We recognize the historical and ongoing significance of this land to their communities. We express our deep respect for their enduring relationship with the land and their contributions to the region’s rich cultural heritage.

More information on these statements

I recognize that land acknowledgments on the internet can feel out of touch and vapid, but I encourage everyone to think actively about the land they’re inhabiting and the people who were there before you. This page is developing, and I plan to expand it. For now, if this site generates money, I will commit to donating 5% of my revenue through this website to projects started by Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho peoples.
